Christmas in Lenzerheide is more than just a holiday — it is an immersion in a magical winter world that combines tradition, adventure and relaxation. The absolute highlight is the Lenzerheide Magic Forest, an open-air festival that takes place from December 12 to 30, 2025. Every day from 5 pm to 10:30pm, the squirrel forest is transformed into a sea of lights with breathtaking installations by national and international artists. Live concerts with stars such as Luca Hänni or Bligg provide musical highlights, while a cozy market village offers regional delicacies — from mulled wine to handmade delicacies. There is a special program for children with storytellers who bring fairy tales to life in the winter setting. This magic forest has been an integral part of Swiss Christmas tradition since 2013.
But Lenzerheide offers much more than just festive events — especially near our holiday apartments in Parpan. Here you can ice skate for free on the natural ice rink in Parpan, as long as the weather is good. In dry and cold weather, the field is illuminated until 21:00 in the evening and is ideal for romantic gatherings or happy family fun. Also in Parpan: curling on a private track — including equipment on site. Reservations for groups can be made at tourismusvereinparpan@gmail.com, equipment is lent out by Furcletta Bike Parpan (+41 81 525 55 35), payment in cash is required.
The Arosa Lenzerheide ski area rounds off the offer with 225 kilometers of slopes. It is the largest in Grisons and reaches up to 2865 meters above sea level. Several entrances to the ski area are within walking and short distance from our holiday apartments. You can find out more about this here.
Off the slopes, nature attracts visitors: winter hiking or snowshoe tours around the frozen Heidsee, cross-country skiing on one of Switzerland's best trail networks or even biathlon in the country's only permanently installed facility.
